It’s that time of the year. Thanksgiving and our yearly vigil to watch the horde trample each other for a $3 waffle maker. Don’t want to brave the crowds and get an early start? Drone enthusiasts can look the DJI Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale.
Starting today through November 27, you can get some solid deals on some of the best products DJI has to offer. Don’t worry if you miss out on the Black Friday. November 27 kicks off the camera drone company’s winter sale through the January 2.
Second is the Fly More combo for the Mavic 2. With the recent tariffs and trade spats between the United States and China, the price on most accessories has shot up. During the Black Friday and Winter sale, the combo will be priced at its launch price of $379, well off the regular $500+ price tag.
If you’re in the market for a Mavic 2 Pro or Zoom, the Fly More sale makes either drone damn enticing. My personal favorite is the Pro, but the Zoom is a hell of a camera drone, Pricing on the Mavic 2 line is $1499 for the Mavic Pro 2 and $1249 for the Zoom.
My number three on the Black Friday list is the DJI Osmo Mobile 2. You don’t save a ton with the $20 price cut to $119, but if you been sitting on the fence, now is a great time to snag one. Tons of features and buttery smooth video from a smartphone.
Fourth is the DJI Spark. Perfect for young kids or those unsure if flying drones is something they want to do. It’s sturdy as hell and lets you learn without tossing out a ton of money. The controller combo is $359 for the holidays with the Fly More combo priced at $459.
The DJI Goggles Racing Edition comes in at number five for me. They could be your number one, but I have several autonomic disorders which include vertigo, so FPV drone goggles and I are not a good mix. From all accounts they are amazing, and the Racing Edition’s choice of a black and red color scheme is sharp. DJI is slashing $100 off the price to $449.
Rounding out the Black Friday deals is the Mavic Pro Platinum. While it is cut to $999, the Mavic Air is the better deal. They share the same sensor, yet the Mavic Air has a bitrate of 100Mbps over the Platinum’s 60Mbps. You can get the Air and its Fly More combo for $899 versus $1299.
At the $1299 price range, you’re better off opting for one of the Mavic 2 camera drones for the next-gen features like increased range, better cameras, safety features, and battery life.
Wrapping up the DJI Black Friday event, the best deal on the board is the Mavic Air. You’re fully kitted out for sub-$1000. Looking for the latest and greatest? The deal on the Mavic 2 Fly More combo makes both drones an attractive purchase.
