Did you hear that? That’s the sound of Instagram diehards geeking out. For the first time in two years, Instagram has added photo filters. 5 to be exact.
“You’ll see the filters at the front of your filter tray: Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden and Perpetua. They soften and subtly shift colors to achieve the look and feel you want for your photo,” reads an Instagram blog post.
Basically, they make our lives look more vibrant than they really are.
All kidding aside, it’s cool to see Instagram adding more filters. It looked like they were done there for a while.
Besides 5 new filters, Instagram is also adding a few more features. You can edit your filters to not display ones you don’t ever use. Plus, support for slow-motion video uploads has been added.
You can also see how each filter looks before applying it. A blurred preview of your photo will appear at the bottom of your screen.
Here’s a glimpse of what each filter looks like. The five filters and additional features are available on Instagram right now.
