Battlefield 4’s latest DLC, Second Assault, will hit every platform but the Xbox One tomorrow. Second Assault was an Xbox One exclusive when Battlefield 4 launched late last year.
Starting tomorrow, other platform users with premium will be able to download Second Assault. So, what’s included in Second Assault? The latest DLC is a throwback to Battlefield 4. Fan favorites Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman and Operation Firestorm are making their way to Battlefield 4.
Who’s ready to see max tickets on Operation Metro. You thought Operation Locker was ridiculous, just wait. Operation Metro is even more linear. Some love it, others hate it.
Besides new maps, Capture the Flag is returning to Battlefield 4. The mode was included as DLC in Battlefield 3 and is making its return to Battlefield 4.
New weapons for each class are also coming in Second Assault. They are the F2000 (Assault), AS Val (Engineer), M60E3 (Support), GOL Magnum (Recon) and the DAO-12 (Shotgun).
The Desert Patrol Vehicle and Skid Loader are the two new vehicles coming tomorrow.
Second Assault is the second DLC of five planned DLC releases for Battlefield 4. The other three are Naval Strike, Dragon’s Teeth and Final Stand.
EA and DICE offered a few details on Naval Strike. It will include four new maps set in the South China Sea. The biggest news is a re-imagined Titan mode from Battlefield 2142 called Carrier Assault. Two new gadgets are will strengthen the assault and engineer classes. The assault class gets a 3 grenade launcher attachment while engineers get an anti-heli mine.
EA/DICE have been mum on Dragon’s Teeth and Final Stand. We’ll probably see more details on those two expansions as Naval Strike’s release nears.
