Mark your calendars. Better Call Saul, the spin-off from Breaking Bad, is hitting your TVs on February 8. If that’s not good enough for you, AMC is scheduling episode 2 on the following night, before settling into its weekly schedule.
If you need a refresher, Saul was the lawyer in Breaking Bad (played by Bob Odenkirk), who played it a little loose with what’s legal and what’s illegal. AMC has been treating fans to a steady dose of trailers, multiple short clips and behind the scenes footage. It keeps with the stylized feel of the previous clips, setting this trailer in a rundown hotel room.
AMC’s Charlie Collier also confirmed what we knew already, the series will be a prequel of sorts, focusing on the pre-Saul Goodman days as Jimmy McGill.
“This February, during AMC’s first ever two-night series premiere event, we’re going to introduce Jimmy McGill to the world. Known to Breaking Bad fans as Saul Goodman, viewers will soon discover Saul wasn’t always Albuquerque’s top criminal (criminal) lawyer.”
If you are looking for footage via a trailer, you’re going to have to wait a bit. AMC is relishing in the hype these teasers bring. Set your DVR’s for February 8 and 9 to get the premiere episodes. Those across the pond in the UK will have to wait for the debut via Netflix.
