Captain America: Civil War is essentially another Avengers. The cast list is gigantic. What every fan is clamoring for is Black Panther. We’ve seen the other characters.
Concept art released last year showed us what Black Panther would look like suited up. Today, we have our first photo from the set. Meyer Photos was being sneaky and managed to grab a still of Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes).
Why are the two scaling the side of a building? Will the Black Panther align with Cap or Iron Man? Judging by he’s with The Winter Soldier, I think it’s more likely he is aligning with Steve Rogers over Tony Stark.
Take a look at the still below.
Pretty damn close to the concept art. It’s telephoto’d out, but we can see the distinct similarities. Yeah, color correction and post processing on the film will make this look incredibly badass.
What do you think? Impressed with the costume? I always look at these set photos as the ‘sausage being made.’
What we see in theaters is nothing like what the actors and crew see on a day-to-day basis. It’s a fresh and unvarnished look at creating tentpole films reliant on post-production.
Captain America: Civil War lands in theaters on May 6, 2016. I’m willing to bet Marvel Studios isn’t concerned about a Fantastic Four type flop. Out of all the upcoming comic book movies, it’s the one I’m most excited about.
No spoilers, but if it grabs from the comics, the ending is going to be amazing.
