Here’s a thought experiment. If you’re going to have to endure a ‘your mother’ joke, who would you have telling the joke? At the Bryan Cranston Q&A at Nerd HQ, one fan got his answer.
Asking how he liked Albuquerque during the filming of Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston had a bit of fun at the kid’s expense.
Here’s how it went down. The guy stood at the question area and began with, “I grew up in Albuquerque. Was there any cool places, anything that you liked being there? How was it? It is my home town. Did you have fun there?”
Ok, before Cranston’s answer, think about what any smart ass would say. The question is perfectly served up for sarcasm. Understand the actor likes to be a bit loose when meeting with fans.
Cranston replied, “Yeah, I’d go and visit your mother once in a while.” You could hear the laughs from the crowd and the guy responding that’s a little mean. Bryan Cranston’s response?
Dropping the mic.
Is it mean? Sure, but you can tell he means zero ill will towards the guy. And, he gets the bonus of being Internet famous for having the mic dropped on him by Walter White. I mean, out of the countless ways to become embarrassingly Internet famous, I’m going with this option.
Oh, and here’s a list of burn centers in the United States. The poor guy might need it.
