Come on, cheer up Ben. Just because you’re the Dark Knight doesn’t mean you have to be dour. Warner Bros. has finally released the title to the Man of Steel sequel, and Ben Affleck’s Batman is getting the first slot.
As for Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. is starting the not-so-subtle marketing campaign for the Justice League movie already on the calendar for 2018. Along with the unveil of the title comes a more tightened movie poster. And, let’s be honest. For all the crowing about casting, the poster looks awesome.
The House of El glyph is etched onto the bat symbol. Get ready to see a steady dose of marketing with this leading up to the 2016 release. Hey, why wait on building buzz. Two years of hype, and this better live up to a film comic book fans have been wanting for decades.
As for the rest of the cast, just to give you that collective Internet headache, let’s hit the high points again. Ben Affleck will star as Batman, Henry Cavill returns as Superman. The rest of the cast rounds out with Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
Me, I’m more excited about Irons playing Alfred. Imagine his accent from Kingdom of Heaven in this movie. Or, Die Hard With a Vengeance. Bruce. Bruce. Bruce.
Still nothing on a possible teaser trailer. It is way too early, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it at next year’s Comic-Con. Here’s hoping it can live up to the impossible hype.
