Get your TVs, tablets or whatever you watch Netflix on ready. Marvel’s Daredevil is coming to Netflix on April 10th. In keeping with Netflix tradition, all episodes will be available at the same time. Let the binge watching commence.

Daredevil appears to be a bit of a departure from Marvel’s recent movies. The teaser trailer’s tone is a lot darker and grittier than we are used to seeing from Marvel.

In the trailer, Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox) ponders questions of morality. Of right and wrong. Of good and evil. He then says he’s not seeking forgiveness for what he’s done, he’s asking for forgiveness for what he’s about to do.

We then see a quick cut montage of several action scenes.

Ok, I’m impressed. We didn’t see much, but what’s there looks good. Plus, it can’t be any worse than the Daredevil movie from 2003. Right?

The Stars of Daredevil

I mentioned Charlie Cox starring as Daredevil above. You may recognize him from Boardwalk Empire. He played Owen Slater in the popular HBO series.

Starring alongside Cox are Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ayelet Zurer, Bob Gunton, Toby Leonard Moore and Vondie Curtis-Hall.

Daredevil is the first of four planned TV shows between Marvel and Netflix. The other shows will focus on characters – Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

What do you think of the trailer above? Do you like the darker tone?
