We’re in the middle of the usual video game release gauntlet, and several of the most anticipated games are yet to come. Bethesda blew me away with Doom’s fantastic gameplay and heart-pounding music earlier this year. I’m hoping they go two for two with Dishonored 2.

A few minutes ago, Bethesda dropped a new live action trailer.

Man, these live action trailers (and CG cinematics) are such a tease. This is why Assassin’s Creed needs to be a hit. Show the folks in Hollywood, video game adaptations aren’t always garbage. I’d take a Netflix show set in the Dishonored universe in a heartbeat. Yeah, the production might be a bit steep – but Netflix isn’t afraid to burn through cash.

The song from the trailer is ‘Take it All’ by Ruelle.

The live action trailer sets the stage for the story in Dishonored 2. Delilah, a mad witch, seized the throne. It’s up to you (as Empress Emily Kaldwin or Royal Protector Corvo Attano) to take it back.

From Bethesda:

A stolen throne. An empire in chaos. An Empress and a Royal Protector are all that stand between a mad witch and absolute power. When Dishonored 2 launches on November 11 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, it will be up to you to choose the legacy you leave behind as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano. Will you soak the streets in blood as you fight to take back what’s rightfully yours from Delilah? Or will you ghost through the world, quietly uncovering the mystery brewing in the Empire of the Isles?

I’m digging all of these Friday releases. It lets me pull an all-nighter without feeling like crap the next day.

Bethesda is jumping aboard the play early train. Luckily, it doesn’t mean we have to pay more. But you do have to pre-order Dishonored 2. Those who do get a one-day head start and a digital copy of the first Dishonored.

Dishonored 2 hits Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 11th. November 10th if you pre-order.
