We are less than 12 hours away from the launch of Dragon Age: Inquisition. So, which version should you buy? IGN has a graphics comparison video that you can see below. It’s on YouTube, so expect a lot of compression. Still, it gives you a general idea of how the game looks.

First, let’s get the obvious out-of-the-way. If you have a PC capable of running Dragon Age: Inquisition on high settings, get it on PC.

For PS4 and Xbox One owners, the video above shows the two look generally the same. But, there is one difference. Resolution. The PS4 version of Dragon Age: Inquisition runs at 1080p/30fps. The Xbox One version runs at 900p/30fps. Not a big difference, but if you have both systems – it could sway your purchase decision.

Either way, owners of both consoles are getting what many believe is one of the best games of the year. I’ve played a couple of hours of the Xbox One version, and it does look pretty damn good.

If timed exclusive DLC is a game changer for you, the Xbox One gets first dibs on ‘premier add-on content.’ What’s that mean? Who knows. Dragon Age: Inquisition is already big enough. I doubt timed DLC will sway anyone. Hell, I’m getting the Xbox One version and I’m not even focused on DLC right now. I’m just glad we are finally getting a big, single-player RPG on current consoles.

What about you guys? Any of the above influencing your purchase decision? Let me know in the comments. Or, just express your joy of being just hours away from playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. I know my Mage is ready to get to work.
