Who would have thought one of the best features in the ‘next-gen’ would have come from EA. EA Access members will have another game to play later this month. EA Sports UFC joins the Vault on December 18.

EA Access is a solid service for 30 bucks a year. I picked it up earlier this year to play Battlefield 4 with some friends on Xbox One. Over the past few months, the Vault has expanded to include Battlefield 4, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, Need for Speed Rivals and Peggle 2.

Plus, you get free trials of new EA games a few days before they release. Being able to play Dragon Age: Inquisition for a few hours before release was pretty damn awesome.

EA is promising “the Vault is going to get even bigger” soon.

The turnaround for EA Sports UFC from release date to joining the EA Access vault was a quick one. UFC released on June 17, 2014. Six months between release and EA Access? I can live with that. It’ll be interesting to see if Dragon Age: Inquisition will be on a similar timetable.

Have you picked up EA Access? How are you liking it so far? Also, what other publishers, if any, would you like to see launch a similar program? There’s only a few that could make it worth it. Ubisoft and Activision immediately come to mind. Microsoft and Sony could also adopt a similar service. Or, utilize Playstation Plus and Games with Gold better.
