The first month 2017 is almost in the books. Man, time flies by. That also means another batch of games packed in with your Xbox Live Gold subscription is being announced. The shortest month of the year brings a decent slate of games. Let’s take a look.

Hey, I’m always down to try new games. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is the only one I’ve played and it’ll be great to jump back in with over the top force powers. Take what Darth Vader did at the end of Rogue One and crank it to 11. That’s The Force Unleashed. Size truly matters not as you’ll bring a Star Destroyer crashing down.

Let’s take a look at the rest.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a co-op adventure where you take on a colorful galaxy in your own spaceship. You and up to four friends will move around your battleship manning weapons, shields and engines. Everything I’ve read about this game is the co-op is local, not online. Still, the reviews are positive with 95% of Steam players giving it a positive review.

Project Cars looks like a solid game at first glance, but several critics panned the game’s poor pad controls. Then again, it’s ‘free’ and other critics heaped praise on it.

On the Xbox 360 side of things, February gets started with Monkey Island 2: Special Edition. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed follows it up on February 16th.

For those of us looking forward to Xbox 360 games being added to Xbox One, Major Nelson announced one earlier today. Alice: Madness Returns jumps aboard the Backward Compatibility train. Which is cool I guess. I’m still waiting for Crackdown and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2.

C’mon Ubisoft, don’t make us wait and include it in Wildlands.
