Forza Horizon 3 is one of the most criminally underplayed games I own. I love every minute of it, but I haven’t sunk the time into it that I want to. That’s about to change. Today, Playground Games revealed they are turning a brand new Australia locale into the ultimate playground. Let’s take a look.

And here I thought Call of Duty: WWII was going to be the best game trailer I’ve seen today. This looks like an absolute blast to play. And the news only gets better. The devs are letting us design parts of the track. From the blog post:

“If you’re looking to get creative, check out the new Stunt Swap feature to modify stunt track sections and dare your friends to try them.”

It doesn’t quite sound like a fully fledged track editor, but it looks like we can tinker with the craziest parts of the tracks. I’m trying to keep my hopes in check here, but it’s tough. We just don’t know how big “stunt track sections” are right now. Obviously, it’s the portions of the trailer with loops, half-pipes and jumps – but how big are the segments? We’ll find out when we get our hands on it on May 9th.

A behind-the-scenes look at the action is coming on May 8th live from the Hot Wheels’ headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. It’ll be livestreamed over at Beam.

Here’s a quick rundown of the ten new cars coming next month’s expansion.

1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill
2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker
2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod
2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang
2016 Jeep Trailcat
2016 Zenvo ST1
2007 Toyota Arctic Trucks AT38
2010 Pagani Zonda R
1972 Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49

PC players also have a reason to be excited about this new expansion. A new update is coming alongside it packed with new support for popular driving wheels, improved CPU performance, additional graphical options and more. The devs will dive deeper into all the improvements closer to release.

I’m watching this trailer and just imagining what it will look like on Project Scorpio. Can you imagine all of this on a big 4K TV? I can’t believe I never pictured Hot Wheels and Forza Horizon before. Give the guy/gal who pushed for this a raise. It looks absolutely incredible.
