Sadly, all good things must come to an end. But, the speed runners who participated in the Awesome Games Done Quick marathon and all you watching at home raised a ton of money –  $1.4 million and counting.

All the donations go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

“A massive hand to all our runners, volunteers, viewers and donors. You all made this possible, and you make us keep striving,” reads a tweet from the official Games Done Quick Twitter account.

Not only did thousands of people donate, but hundreds of thousands witnessed some insane gameplay during the week-long event.

My personal favorite? You can never have too much Shovel Knight. Capndrake completed one of last year’s indie darlings in 47 minutes and 13 seconds.

One of the most insane runs has to be kevinddr playing Tetris: The Grandmaster Exhibition. Kevin trumps all of our Tetris skills by playing a special stage where the blocks are invisible. Check out the video below if you haven’t already seen it.

Runnerguy2489 showed off his Zelda and memory skills by playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time blindfolded.

Games Done Quick will have all of the speedruns up on their YouTube channel soon. Until then, check out this Reddit post for all the Twitch links to specific speedruns.

You can still donate through the Games Done Quick website. A quick look at their tracker shows more than $1.47 million dollars donated so far with the average donation at just over $40.

Did last week’s event spark some speedrunning interest for you? Then head on over to these two communities – Speed Demos Archive and Speed Runs Live.

Tell me your favorite run or moment of Games Done Quick 2015?
