At this point, I’ll just wait until a theater usher drags me out to know if the movie is over. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has a runtime of 2 hours 18 minutes. But you’re going to want to stay a little longer than usual. Even for a Marvel movie. James Gunn confirmed the film will have not one, not two, not three, but five post-credits scenes.

It looks like a fifth post-credit scene was held back from last night’s Hollywood premiere. Word is, a couple of the scenes are tossed in for laughs – while others offer more substantial story beats. With embargoes in place until a later date, most of us won’t know what’s in them until Vol. 2 hits May 5.

Go in expecting a few scenes like this.

And this.

But also post-credit scenes like the one from Captain America Winter Soldier when Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were revealed.

Are five post-credit scenes absurd? Yep. Am I going to sit through all of them? You damn right I am. Give me all the scenes. The more, the better. Better yet, get the folks over on the Star Wars side of Disney to start doing them too. A Thrawn tease at the end of The Last Jedi? Sign me the hell up!

Do you think five post-credit scenes is too many? What teases do you want to see Gunn throw in?
