If you’re a fan of James Bond, it’s been one awesome week. First were the stills of the characters released by MGM, and today saw the official theatrical trailer for Spectre.
You have to admit, the movie is looking great. As is that Aston Martin featured heavily throughout the trailer. It clocks in at just over two minutes and sets the stage for events after Skyfall.
Sony also released a synopsis of the film, giving fans an overview of what to expect:
“As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz. Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), the new head of the Centre for National Security, questions Bond’s actions and challenges the relevance of MI6, led by M (Ralph Fiennes).”
I’m already a Bond fan, but knowing Christoph Waltz was the villain has had me hyped all year. In the trailer, he finally steps from the shadows declaring he is behind everything that has happened to Bond.
Carrying on with the more action-packed Bond films, the trailer shows off enough gunfights, car chases and explosions to pack theaters when it releases wide. The trailer kicks off in Mexico City and stretches to the snow covered peaks all the way to Rome.
Hey, it’s a James Bond movie. I’m already there when it releases. Now, if I can just get my hands on the Aston Martin…
