Five months. That’s how long it’s been since we last saw a trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We get bashed over the head with advertising for stuff we don’t care about. But Star Wars? Oh no, Disney is waiting for just the right moment to open the advertising floodgates.
And that right moment? It looks like Monday Night Football on October 9. The Vikings and the Bears will face off in an NFC matchup. Oh, and Mark Hamill hints the next Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer will drop then.
Digital Spy snagged a screenshot of the tweet before Hamill deleted it.
Hamill backtracked with another tweet saying Disney will announce the new trailer when they’re ready to.

However Disney decides releasing it, we’re bound to see it on a Monday Night Football game. Disney owns ESPN, and ESPN hosts Monday Night Football. Disney used a Monday Night Football game to release the final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer back in 2015.
Damn, that trailer is still fantastic.
Disney, you don’t have to do much more than the trailer we saw in April. Just give me another taste of the space battle at 1:33 in the trailer below. That’s all I ask.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th.
