Ready for another dose of the Portokalos family? My Big Fat Greek Wedding is getting its sequel and it’s as nutty as the first.
We are dropped in on Toula and Ian’ daughter, Paris, as she prepares to leave (escape) her family for college. Meanwhile, Gus and Maria find out the priest who officiated their first wedding forgot to sign the paperwork.
Cue the madness of a Greek wedding. Including a pink limousine. We get this line from the trailer:
“Who says a woman has to be married?” Maria says. “You. All our lives,” Toula replies.
The family is back in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Casting includes Nia Vardalos, John Corbett, Michael Constantine, Lainie Kazan, Andrea Martin, Gia Carides, Louis Mandylor, Alex Wolff, and John Stamos.
That has to be easy on the casting director when a studio wants an ensemble cast. Sweet, open up my contacts and done.
When will the Portokalos family arrive at your local theater? March 25, 2016. It’s a risk, but the counterprogramming to Batman v Superman lends itself to having legs. Mainly among the older set and people who aren’t trusting of Ben Affleck as Batman.
Just give us the Windex.
