Before Star Wars The Force Awakens was even announced, one studio was hyping Star Wars fans around the world. In the lead up to EA’s ambitious new MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic, the publisher tapped the folks at Blur Studio to handle the cinematics. And this was their first effort.

Five years and several cinematics later, EA just released the latest Blur creation. It’s called ‘Betrayed’ and sets the stage for The Old Republic’s newest expansion – Knights of the Eternal Throne.

Woah. Do you see this, Disney? I’ll take a Netflix season of this stat.

But damn, force users need to hire some better trainers. Or, Tony Robbins. Because they can’t think positive to save their life.

The trailer focuses on Senya, a Knight of Zakuul. She’s also the former wife of Emperor Valkorian. The kid, Vaylin? That’s Valkorian’s daughter. Bioware sets the stage in their press release:

Battle to rule the galaxy in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ – Knights of the Eternal Throne, a bold new digital expansion from BioWare. Be the Outlander and command a team of hand-picked allies as you face one of the most dangerous families in Star Wars™. Mother against daughter. Sister against brother. It’s a fight for control of the throne. You decide who will live, who will die and who will rule the galaxy. Fight to influence the galaxy for the light or dark side of the Force™!

Check out the announcement page for Knights of the Eternal Throne for more details. Knights of the Eternal Throne releases on December 2 for premium subscribers. No word on the exact release date for those playing free.

What do you think of Blur’s new trailer? Which one of their trailers is your favorite? Hell, I love all of them – but “Return” is my favorite.
