One Driver Caught Last Night’s Meteor Fireball On Video

Even the bright city lights can’t block out every falling star. Around 6:35 p.m. Monday night, folks living in New York City and the surrounding areas saw a pretty bright meteor.

One driver managed to record video of the meteor on his dash cam. Peter Czech posted it on YouTube and said it was filmed near the 287/10 interchange in New Jersey.

Peter also tweeted the exact area he was at when he recorded the fireball.

Fireball sightings stretched from Maryland to Maine. The American Meteor Society received more than 300 reports of a bright fireball last night.
