Now we know what had Ludacris upset during the Justin Bieber Comedy Central Roast. Two comedians made separate jokes about Bieber that involved the death of Paul Walker.
Both jokes will be pulled from the broadcast and with good reason. Bieber signed up for the roast, Paul Walker left behind a daughter after a tragic accident. Oh, and who do you think wins this battle? Ludacris and Universal, the studio behind Furious 7, or Jeff Ross?
Jeff Ross used his time at the podium to invoke a Ludacris song to joke about Walker’s fatal crash. “‘Move bitch, get out of the way!’ is what Paul Walker should’ve told that tree. Too soon? Too fast? Too furious?”
Nah man. Too stupid.
Next up was Pete Davidson, who used the death of Paul Walker to needle Bieber. “Just this past year, Justin got arrested for drag racing. Unfortunately, it wasn’t with Paul Walker. What? He’s doing great! He’s got a movie coming out!” he joked to the crowd.
Hey, everyone loves to make fun of Justin Bieber. But jokes about an actor lost in his prime just before his last movie is set to debut? I thought the roast was supposed to expose the immaturity of Justin Bieber.
According to reports, Ludacris, a friend of Paul Walker, was deeply upset at the jokes. They also landed with thud with the crowd. You can see Ludacris making a ‘cut’ motion with his hand onstage at the Sony Pictures Studio in Los Angeles.
For those wanting to see the roast, tune into Comedy Central March 30 at 10pm EST.
