So much for ‘sharing is caring.’ The phrase in the popular Playstation commercials will have no place in Destiny. “We want you to earn ’em. You should be able to tell a badass story for every sweet jewel in your arsenal,” Bungie writes in their latest Weekly Update.
“Once you earn them, the various Guardians under your account will be able to trade them. But weapons belong to the players who acquire them through action and bravery.” Or farming.
End game remains the biggest question surrounding Destiny. We know there is an end game raid called Vault of Glass and that it will take a lot of teamwork and time to clear. Past that, details are slim. Media on the raid has been limited to a few brief glimpses in the E3 Gameplay Experience trailer. Check it out below. (5:51 is when the footage starts.)
In other Destiny news, Ghost took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge last week. Bungie even poked some fun at themselves during the video. Who did Ghost pick for the challenge? Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Jonathan Irons, Last of Us’ Joel and George Lucas.
Bungie will also be donating 20% of all proceeds from the Bungie Store until September 9th to the ALS Association.
The Ice Bucket Challenge may have entered meme status, but you can’t argue with donating money to a good cause.
