It’s been one year later since the events of Stranger Things Season 1. And as Netflix teases today, “some doors can’t be closed.” A fantastic new poster just hit the internet and shows a storm is coming to Hawkins, Indiana.

The second season lands just days before Halloween. Check out the same scene in motion.

Today’s poster isn’t the first time we’ve seen what appears to be a giant monster in the clouds above Hawkins. We saw the same monster in the Super Bowl ad earlier this year. Go to 0:20 in the trailer. Blink, and you’ll miss it. Also, a drawing at 0:16.
TVGuide teased a few more details about the monster from the cast at an Emmys event last month. Finn Wolfhard (he plays Mike) dished out the behind-the-scenes name for the new monster. “The Shadow monster, the new one, the big one in the sky, that was crazy for us.”
Stranger Things Season 1 ranks up there as one of my favorite Netflix shows. Along with Peaky Blinders, The Last Kingdom and Marco Polo. I’m still bummed out about Netflix canceling Marco Polo with that Season 2 cliffhanger.
Stranger Things Season 2 will land in late October with huge expectations. I can’t wait to binge it and see if season 2 meets or exceeds them.
