No matter your stance on marijuana, you have to respect the design chops of Summerland Ceramic Stonerware. Ok, props to the company for making marijuana smoking tools sound like you just bought it from Williams-Sonoma.

Summerland is working to appeal to the more sophisticated smokers among us. Sorry rainbow-hue lovers, check your color wheel at the door. It’s all about clean designs that you’re not afraid to leave on the coffee table.

Note if any of your holiday party guests are cops, the thing still looks like a bong or a pipe depending on which you have. You might want to put it away. Stoner buddies coming over for the game? Show off your modern tastes.

Summerland Stonerware

Produced by hand in Northern California, two product lines are available. Bongs and Pipes. The Crystal Voyager is the company’s pipe in production right now and is expected to be shipped in January. Judging by the product description, the company was conducting product tests when creating its site.

Bongs can be ordered today and will arrive in time for Christmas. Prices start at $150 and hit $190 for the three versions being offered.

Each product is made from cone five ceramic and is finished with a lead-free, food safe glaze. Hey, even if you don’t inhale, no sense in running the risk of lead poisoning.

While the company insists these are for tobacco products only (I’ve never associated Marlboros with stonerware but ok), they do warn the ceramic can break under a butane torch. Stick to a regular lighter or a match flame.

You do need to know your local laws before you order. AL, AR, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, MD, MS, MO, NE, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, and UT all have laws on the books against the importation or possession of drug paraphernalia.

There is only one color for each – stark white. You may have to redecorate your apartment to fit the aesthetics of a bong. I bet interior designers never saw that one coming.
