No rewind and slow motion effects needed. A group of teens are facing trespassing charges after they wanted a look at how NBA star Ray Allen lives. After a house party got a little boring in Coral Gables, a group of 18 and 19-year olds left to go on their personal cribs tour of NBA star Ray Allen’s house.
Entering through an unlocked back door, the teenagers walked around the house around 2 a.m. They initially assumed the house was empty, but Allen’s wife was woken by the commotion. Thankfully she didn’t go the traditional Florida way of shooting first, shooting again and asking questions later. A quick scream of ‘What the f*** are you doing in my house?’ was enough to send the kids running back to house party.
The police were called, and eventually sorted out which teens were involved. Seeing as they didn’t burglarize the home, and there was no signs of forced entry, the police were not able to charge them with burglary.
Adding to the craziness, they couldn’t book the teens with trespassing because they didn’t witness the event. Sharon Allen plans to pursue the trespassing charges according to a Coral Gables police spokesperson.
Ray Allen was not home at the time, but his wife Sharon and kids were asleep in the home. More than likely the case will blow over, and the Allen family will be installing smart locks to keep their house buttoned up. As for kids bored at house parties, neighborhood tours are normally not given at 2 in the morning. Just a little fact you might want to stow away as you enter college.
