I am one of more than a million pre-orders for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Are you?
CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwinski announced the million pre-order milestone in a press release.
We’ve crossed the one million pre-order milestone and it’s all thanks to you guys! We would like to thank all the gamers for their trust and support.
This is the last stretch and we’re pushing hard — over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms and started working full speed on the expansions, Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will probably eclipse many more millions of copies sold in the coming months. Now, we all wait to see if the game is good? I will be shocked if it’s not. CD Projekt Red has released a ton of footage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the months leading up to release. We will know for sure tomorrow when the review embargo lifts.
Today, we get our first look at official Xbox One gameplay. One key piece of news is dynamic scaling. The Xbox One version will run from 900p to 1080p. Not quite the same as the PS4’s 1080p resolution, but I doubt anyone will notice as they are hacking monsters to death.
Head over to Gamersyde for a high-quality download of the trailer above. The Witcher 3 looks fantastic in the footage above. No matter what platform you choose, you will be in for a visual treat.
This isn’t the first Xbox One game to use dynamic scaling. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s campaign also had dynamic scaling from 1360×1080 to full 1080p.
I’m glad the resolution differences are closing between Xbox One and PS4. I want to focus on the quality of the games, not the resolution they run at.
