Pricing? Surprisingly affordable. Vans could have charged absurd amounts, but the price range is expected to fall between $37 and $70. Upper range for adult sizes, cheaper for kids.
Vans x Nintendo Collection
Choices with more choices. Variations of Nintendo style will be available on the Authentic, Sk8-Hi, Old Skool, Classic Slip-On and Sk8-Hi Slim. Surely you can find something intriguing in the mix.
What about designs? The collaboration will include Super Mario Bros. Tie-Dye, a digital camo Duck Hunt, Princess Peach, floral Donkey Kong, Zelda and the NES pattern.
Personal favorite? The NES design. It’s the calmest of the styles, featuring the old school NES controller pattern on the Sk8-Hi and ‘Game Over’ printed on the waffle sole.
For the kids, Vans is producing branded t-shirts, backpacks, socks, and hats. Get ready parents; the school year may have just ended, but fall is coming.
What do you think? The NES throwback and Duck Hunt styles are my favorites. The others are a bit loud but expect all of them to fly off the digital shelves on Friday. Vans has said the Nintendo collection will be on sale for a limited time.
Better be quick on the mouse click on June 3. The NES-style will be gone quickly.
