What does Mark Wahlberg, a parachuting transformer and Optimus Prime beating up a T-Rex get you. 2 out of 3 things needed for a great summer flick. Just kidding. Anyone’s better than ‘not famous anymore’ LaBeouf.
The latest trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction ominously warns that “The rules have changed” and “the age of the Transformers is over.” Then an invasion happens and the transformers are needed again. Gotta love Transformer scripts.
Here’s a little background on Age of Extinction. It takes place a few years after the events of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Didn’t see that one? Basically, Chicago got blown to hell – but was saved by a handful of autobots and some wingsuit wearing humans.
In Extinction, Mark Wahlberg’s character buys an old, beat-up truck. Turns out, it’s Optimus Prime. Then, the trailer sweeps across the world showing off Bumblebee and other autobots. At the end, Optimus Prime throws down on a big T-Rex. Why? Because dinosaurs with explosions looks even cooler.
Dinobots will be making their debut in Age of Extinction. All I know, is that it looks awesome. I just hope we haven’t seen the best 2 minutes and 30 seconds of Transformers: Age of Extinction.
