Does traipsing across a dark fantasy game with you and three friends sound fun? That’s what Techland is busy working on with Hellraid. Today, Techland announced the game will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC. All versions will release in 2015, but PC players can get in early thanks to Steam Early Access this fall.
Watching the trailer above, you’ll probably get some instant Elder Scrolls vibes. One thing that looks a lot better, at least in a couple minute trailer, is combat. Combat has always been the weakest part of The Elder Scrolls franchise. If Techland can nail the combat, they could have a winner on their hands.
Hellraid will offer three different game modes. Story, mission and arena will be playable with up to four people.
Hellraid lets you create and customize your character with armor, clothes and other accessories. It’s your typical dark fantasy game, but with a co-op slant.
Who is the team behind Hellraid? Some will recognize the name, but many will recognize the games. Over the past few years, Techland has worked on the Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Dead Island and its expansion Dead Island: Riptide. Techland is also busy gearing up for the release of Dying Light, a survival horror game coming to Xbox and Playstation platforms as well as PC.
Hellraid joins an ever-growing list of games to keep an eye on.
