Another classic Halo multiplayer mode, Infection, is coming when Season 4 starts on June 20. The devs describe it as \u201cHalo Infinite\u2019s take on the fan-favorite mode.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who haven\u2019t played Infeciton before, two teams are pitted against each other. \u2018Zombies\u2019 use melee weapons to try and infect the team of \u2018Survivors,\u2019 who usually get short to medium-range weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artwork above is concept art for the new Infection mode. Hopefully, that helmet effect for the Infected players carries over to the gameplay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>343 didn\u2019t have any details on what kind of tweaks we might see in Halo Infinite\u2019s version yet, but the devs did promise a \u201cfull deep dive later.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load\" title=\"Spartan Chatter: Infection, Season 4 &amp; Career Rank\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"about:blank\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4SWLEPaTx4c?start=3161&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><noscript><iframe title=\"Spartan Chatter: Infection, Season 4 &amp; Career Rank\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4SWLEPaTx4c?start=3161&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The devs also touched on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.halowaypoint.com\/news\/echoes-within-launch#Overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">handful more features<\/a> coming to Season 4. Here\u2019s a quick rundown:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>All new premium coatings (those earned in the Premium Battle Pass and purchased via the Shop) will come with versions compatible will all armor cores.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Career Rank is coming with the launch of Season 4. This is a new progression system with military-style ranks. It should be similar to how career rank worked in the past like Halo: MCC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Halo 5\u2019s Plaza map is getting an official Forge remake and will come shortly after Season 4\u2019s launch. 343\u2019s official word on it is \u201ctargeted to be released early in Season 4.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>New Seasons also mean new maps. If it\u2019s like Season 3, we should get two smaller maps and one BTB (Big Team Battle) map. We also saw a new weapon in Season 3, but we haven\u2019t heard anything for Season 4 so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can expect an extensive blog post covering all things Season 4 sometime in the next few weeks.
