Titanfall hit the masses yesterday on Xbox One and PC. There’s been a noticeable silence on the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall, though. Microsoft tried ease concerns about the silence on the Xbox 360 version.
In an interview with Polygon during Titanfall’s SXSW event, Xbox Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Yusef Mehdi said, “I think we struck the right balance — it was Respawn, really, and the developer who struck the balance — which is, it will play great on Xbox 360.”
The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall was scheduled to release at the same time as the other versions, but was pushed back last month until March 25.
Bluepoint Games is the developer behind the Xbox 360 version. They are known for the solid HD remakes of the God of War Collection, The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the PS4, Vita versions of Flower. All of these titles were well received.
Bluepoint Games knows what they are doing and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Xbox 360 version was very similar to the Xbox One version. After all, Titanfall isn’t a graphical masterpiece by any stretch.
While it may not be a looker, it has some awesome gameplay. I played it for about 5 hours yesterday and so far, it lives up to the hype. I’ll be posting my review of Titanfall tomorrow.
