Wearable technology has been making leaps and bounds recently, especially in the fitness arena.

A new wearable gadget called Spire can monitor your breathing. Spire is a clip like device that you can place on your belt or undergarments.

From there, Spire will monitor the number of steps you take, how hard you’re pushing yourself exercising and your breaths. It will then send you notifications.

What kind of notifications? Say you’ve been sitting for a while. Spire will send you a notification to get up and stretch your legs. It will also suggest breathing exercises to calm you down if your breathing quickens or if you haven’t taken a deep breath in a while.

Check out the video below to see Spire in action.

If you’re interested in one, Spire is on pre-sale for $109. The price goes up to $149 when it fully launches in September.

Wearable tech is already showing significant growth. Look for it to explode if Apple ever launches the much rumored smartwatch.

Could you see yourself buying something like Spire? Already have wearable tech? Let us know in the comments.
