A Whale Watcher’s Dream. Drone Captures Paddleboarder’s Encounter

paddleboard whale watching footage

Now this is what paddleboarding and whale watching dreams are made of. And amateur drone pilots. It happened off the coast of Esperance in Western Australia.

Amateur filmmaker, Jaimen Hudson, caught the incredible footage of two Southern Right whales who happened upon a paddleboarder. The video clocks in at just over two minutes. Not only is it beautiful, it’s calming.

I’m sorta tempted to use it as a way to destress and realize I really need to be on the beach in Western Australia. At the very least, you won’t find a better endorsement for learning to paddleboard.

Curious about the song? It’s Imagine by Jack Johnson.
