I’m a sucker for a fun trailer. Bonus points if it’s sci-fi. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is right around the corner, and Bungie is celebrating with a launch trailer. Let’s have a look.
I’m not a Destiny diehard like many, but I do love a Bungie shooter. Destiny may struggle in some areas, but it’s damn sure not the moment-to-moment gunplay. Few developers make shooting things feel as good as Bungie. And Destiny 2 is them at the top of their game. Expect more of the same in Shadowkeep.
The Gamescom trailer gives us a better glimpse of the story in Shadowkeep.
“Your past confronts you Guardian,” sounds ominous, but could lead to some compelling encounters. Will Bungie bring back Cayde-6 in the form of one of these nightmares?
Besides a new story, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is bringing a new Power cap at 960, introducing melee finishers for all classes, better armor customization, new gear, a new raid, and more.
It’s been a crazy year for loot games. The Division 2, Borderlands 3, and soon Shadowkeep. Hell, even Ghost Recon is joining in with Ghost Recon: Flashpoint a few days after Shadowkeep.
It’ll be fun watching Destiny 2: Shadowkeep evolve post-launch now that Bungie is an independent studio. I’ll be there day one to see how it all shakes out.
