Last week, the first trailer to Avengers: Age of Ultron was released. Some puppet left it lying around somewhere, and Hydra stole ABC’s Marvels Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. thunder. No problem. ABC decided to release an extended cut, where the team is sitting around trying to pick up Thor’s hammer.
It’s a drunken banter before James Spader’s Ultron strolls in. The only one to shift the hammer is Steve Rogers, a nod that he is or once was worthy – at least according to Thor. Stark and Rhodes use their armor to try to lift it together.
Natasha demurs on the offer, which opens up a theory. Are we getting a hint for future movies? Will she become the female Thor that has been introduced in the comic books? Also Banner doesn’t take a stab at it, at least during the trailer.
We know that the Avengers team will get a bit of shakeup during this film. Additions? Characters dying? Doesn’t matter, because Marvel released a movie slate yesterday that will keep ABC investors happy until retirement.
At this point, it isn’t even fair what Disney is doing to other studios. Marvel, Disney films and Star Wars? I mean, there’s printing money and then there’s having box office hauls look like a country’s GDP.
It will a wild ride the next 5-6 years of constant Marvel Universe movies hitting. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
