Someone at Capcom jumped the gun a bit by announcing Street Fighter 5 via a teaser uploaded on YouTube. The big news? It will be “exclusively on PS4 and PC.” DAMN!
The big question is what does ‘exclusive’ mean in this case. Third-party ‘exclusives’ tend to mean ‘timed-exclusive’ these days. Look at Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One for example.
A Street Fighter 5 exclusive is huge for Sony no matter how long it is. Just like Tomb Raider is for Xbox One. We want games right when they come out.
Here’s a DailyMotion upload of the trailer that is still up. Check it out while you still can. Capcom is out in force on YouTube, ripping down any copies of the video they find.
I’m guessing this announcement was meant for Sony’s keynote at the Playstation Experience Event. The Playstation Experience Keynote kicks off at 10:00 am PT on Saturday. Live gameplay sessions of upcoming games, plus discussion panels will happen throughout the day.
Check out the full schedule here. (All times are Pacific time)
Tell me what kind of announcements you want to see at the Playstation Experience Event this weekend.
