According to a tweet from Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella, the Titanfall beta will not be open. Codes will be necessary and the implementation of players will occur in waves. Check his response to several users below.

Also, the start date for the beta has not been officially locked down yet. Respawn sent out the build for certification yesterday. Barring any messups with certification, the middle of the month still looks good for the start of Titanfall’s beta.
No word on how you’ll be able to obtain Titanfall codes, either. Preorders should be a lock. Plus, Twitter contests and sign-ups through Titanfall’s site. We should hear more soon.
There’s also been no time frame on how long the beta will last. It’s doubtful it will last until the game’s release, but should last longer than the recent alpha weekend.
Titanfall will descend on stores March 11 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
