The Xbox team has announced which games you will be getting in January as part of Games With Gold.
Xbox One owners will get D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die. There’s probably not too many of you who have heard of the title, and it is a pretty quick move from $14.99 to Games With Gold (it released back in September).
Never heard of it? Here’s a quick rundown of the title courtesy of Xbox Wire.
You play David Young, a detective whose wife has been murdered. David suffers from a strange syndrome as a result of the murder: He can’t remember the past, but he can travel through time. He uses this ability to go back and find out the truth behind his wife’s death so he can try to prevent it. But, along the way, his bizarre powers get augmented (and sometimes impeded) by an equally bizarre cast of characters. The puzzles will leave you scratching your head (in a good way) for a while, but the story and unique cel-shaded graphics will keep you glued to the screen.
The title never really got the push it deserved as an Xbox One exclusive. I’ll be giving it a shot next month.
For Xbox 360 owners, MX vs ATV Alive will be the free title for the first half of January. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will round out the second half of the month.
The wait for Ryse: Son of Rome continues. I figured we would have already seen some launch titles released through Games With Gold.
What do you think of January’s offerings? Any interest in D4 on Xbox One?
