GTA V released back in September 2013. During the lead up, we were teased with GTA Online Heists. Then we were teased after release. Then we were teased in 2014. Finally, today we have a firm release date for Heists for the console versions.
Rockstar says the launch of Heists for GTA Online is “scheduled for March 10th.” Let’s just hope that release is a bit firmer than the PC release date.
Rockstar balanced the good news of a launch date for GTA Online Heists with the bad news of another PC delay. PC gamers will be waiting until April 14th to head to Los Santos and Blaine County.
Rockstar cites “a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible” as the reason for the delay.
The developers are also offering another $200,000 of in-game money for your troubles (if you preordered). Yeah, I doubt that will appease any PC gamers today.
I know it sucks to hear about another delay, but I would rather GTA V be as bug-free as possible. If that means we wait a little longer, so be it.
Here’s what Rockstar had to say in their press release about the PC version.
The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware (system specifications) and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.
Rockstar also released several new screenshots of GTA V. Here are a few of my favorites. And yeah, these are definitely PC screens. GTA V looks nowhere near this good on my Xbox One.
