The leaks keep on coming. The latest is a Destiny: Rise of Iron trailer thanks to Snapchat. If it isn’t the Xbox page leaking things too soon, it’s Snapchat or an ad. Not that I’m complaining. Check out our first good look at Destiny: Rise of Iron below.

Yep, Gjallarhorn is back. But is it a pre-order bonus only? That’s what the trailer suggests. But the fine print says Iron Gjallarhorn is acquired by pre-ordering Rise of Iron and completing a quest in the expansion. That sounds like the pre-order is tied to the skin – not necessarily the gun. I’m sure that will be one of the many things Bungie will discuss during their live stream later today. Tune in at Bungie’s Twitch channel starting at 10 am PT/1 pm ET.

Destiny Rise of Iron Gjallarhorn

The Destiny: Rise of Iron trailer wasn’t the only leak. Someone managing the Xbox website hit the wrong button and published the game’s page yesterday. Folks on the Destiny Reddit were quick on the draw and grabbed screenshots of it. Here’s the description.

Destiny: Rise of Iron is the next highly anticipated expansion to the Destiny universe. The wall which stood for centuries along the southern border of Old Russia has collapsed. Fallen mutants now scavenge the tombs of the Golden Age, and the plague they have unearthed in the wastes is more dangerous than even they understand. Join Lord Saladin. Journey into the Plaguelands. Learn the fate of the Iron Lords and stop the growing threat before it is too late.

Includes: • New Story Campaign & Quests • New Armor and Gear • New Weapons • New Raid • Maximum Light Increase • New Strike • New Plaguelands Zone & Social Space • New Crucible Mode & Maps • New Enemy Faction and Bosses

The Destiny website also accidentally posted a section to watch the new trailer yesterday. One little piece of info people latched onto was it only mentioned PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It looks like Bungie is moving forward with just current gen consoles from now on. That sounds good to me. It’s been a decade. Time to let the Xbox 360 and PS3 go.

Bungie Snaps Destiny Connection With Xbox 360 and PS3

Keep an eye out for Bungie’s stream starting in a few hours. We should see confirmation on Gjallahorn and if Bungie is ditching Xbox 360/PS3 for Rise of Iron.
