It’s here. The Game of Thrones trailer is finally here. Excuse me while I completely nerd out. So much information in the span of two minutes.

One of my favorite characters from last season was Prince Oberyn. Granted, he’s dead, but not his daughters. Plenty of Daenerys is featured, along with Tyrion and Varys. It is shaping up to be an amazing season It amazes me that HBO continues to one up itself on quality for each season.

Here are the my top 8 moments from the Game of Thrones trailer.

1 – Sand snakes. They are the daughters of Oberyn and it looks like they are hell-bent on revenge. It is what I’m looking forward to the most.

2 – Foreshadowing from Varys. Both him and Tyrion escape Kings Landing, and Varys has one hell of a quote. “The Seven Kingdoms needs a ruler loved by millions with a powerful army and the right family name.” When Tyrion says, “Good luck finding him,” Varys replies, “Who said anything about him?” It cuts to Daenerys, implying she’s the one true ruler.

3 – The statue atop Yunkai falling down. All is not well in her kingdom, and HBO has a serious CG budget. It looks incredible.

4 – Daenerys coming into her own as a ruler. “I’m not going to stop the wheel. I’m going to break the wheel.” I can’t wait to see where this leads.

5 – Littlefinger speaking to Sansa about revenge. “There’s no justice in this world, not unless we make it. Avenge them.” My theory? Sansa is taking the role reserved for Lady Stoneheart. Fans may be upset, but it fits better for continuity of the show.

The Hound, Bronn and the Blackfish Walk Back into Game of Thrones

6 – Tommen and Margaery’s wedding has a prominent role in the teaser. What does this mean for Ceresi? She’s down to a handful of protesters in her realm. She’s still dangerous, but her grip on the iron throne is slipping.

7 – Reek looks sullen as ever. Is this a surprise? The character is nuts, but played so well.

8 – Arya. This figures to be a major point of this season. If you haven’t read the books, I won’t spoil this for you. In the trailer, she is at the House of Black and White in Bravos. Definitely pay attention to this plot point. It’s going to be important.

So much in two minutes. I cannot wait till April. Set your DVR. Buy HBO GO. Do whatever you have to do to see this.
