Everything that made Just Cause 2 great is packed into this Just Cause 3 gameplay trailer and more. Explosions? Check. Grapple Hook? Check. Jacking a jet in mid-air while wearing a wingsuit? That’s just the beginning.

Avalanche Studios is bringing Rico to the current generation of consoles. The footage above is all gameplay according to the developer. “Nothing was staged or scripted,” reads the video’s description.

The developers are taking destruction to the next level. It’s been awhile since I’ve played Just Cause 2, but I don’t remember the destructible environments being quite like this.

Here’s Avalanche Studios describing Just Cause 3:

The Mediterranean republic of Medici is suffering under the brutal control of General Di Ravello, a dictator with an insatiable appetite for power. Enter Rico Rodriguez, a man on a mission to destroy the General’s hold on power by any means necessary. With over 400 square miles of complete freedom from sky to seabed and a huge arsenal of weaponry, gadgets and vehicles, prepare to unleash chaos in the most creative and explosive ways you can imagine.

While the trailer looks fantastic, there is some bad news surrounding Just Cause 3. There will be no co-op or multiplayer. Yep, that sucks.

Here’s a couple of extra images to help you forget about no co-op.

Just Cause 3 grapple

Just Cause 3 explosion

Just Cause 3 parachute

The lack of co-op or multiplayer is disappointing, but I can’t wait to grapple my way around Medici. Just Cause 3 will be available this holiday season on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Seriously, when am I going to have time to play all of these games? I still haven’t even finished all the games that came out last holiday season.
