I still don’t know what to think of the last play of the Super Bowl. Sitting on the goal-line and running a slant? Whoever had that prop bet better be buying an island this morning.
Luckily it wasn’t all depressing for fans. We were treated to a lip sync battle between Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart and Jimmy Fallon. If you’ve seen the others, you know you’re in for a treat.
The one that brought the house down had to be Drunk in Love’ by Beyonce. Sorry, Will Ferrell dancing to the Queen B is both the best thing ever and therapy-inducing. Kevin Hart kicked his set off with John legend’s All of Me,’ complete with Chrissy Teigen’s cry-face.
There were abs and a slap to go with Will Ferrell.
In most battles, Fallon plays the good host, letting his guests share the spotlight? Not on Super Bowl Sunday. They had a full on light show of Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ and Drew Barrymore made an appearance for ‘I’ve Had the Time of My Life.’
Yeah, no one leaves Drew in the corner.
Will Ferrell’s second song was from Adele Dazeem.. I mean Idina Menzel’s Let It Go. Only Ferrell could make that song funny again.
Hart closed it out with Katy Perry’s ‘Roar.’ And yes, it was more entertaining than that acid trip of a halftime show we witnessed last night. No winner was declared last night, and each brought the house down.
Me? I’m going to avoid ESPN today. That pass. Just, that pass.
