ABC’s Dancing With the Stars is back with it usual cast of ‘I remember that person’ and ‘who the hell is that?’ Oh, and to make you feel old and proof ABC beats a reality show horse, this is season 19 of the once ratings powerhouse show.

ABC is returning hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews to this season. The judging panel is getting a seat added, with Julianne Hough taking a seat next to the old judges. Something tells me she has a country album coming out soon. Expect a steady diet of self-promotion.

Probably the most popular member of the cast is Alfonso Ribeiro. That’s right, Carlton will be doing the Carlton at some point during the show. He is partnering up with Whitney Carson. Lolo Jones is also making an appearance. You know her from both the summer and winter Olympics as a track star and member of the bobsled team.

Michael Waltrip is trading in the driving gloves for dancing shoes. Boogity boogity, we are dancing samba-style? The show knows old, white people tune in so there’s your requisite bone. He’s partnering up with pro-dancer Emma Slater.

Fresh from Expendables, Randy Couture will be dancing on the show with Karina Smirnoff. Outside of the Expendables, he is known as a champion MMA fighter.

For the YouTube generation, there is Bethany Mota. Paired with Derek Hough, expect her to leverage the 7 million subscribers to keep her in the running. To show you the media shift, her subscriber numbers basically equal the ratings of the show.

Media personality Tavis Smiley is using the opportunity on Dancing With the Stars as his one last ‘foolish’ thing. It’s a birthday present of sorts as he approaches 50. His partner is Sharna Burgess.

For the stoners out there, Tommy Chong is also on the cast. Please light up during the show. Just to make a clear YouTube moment. Besides, it’s 4:20 somewhere. Or close enough.

Rounding out the cast is Jonathan Bennett, Janel Parrish, Betsey Johnson, Sadie Robertson and Lea Thompson.

If you need to fill up your DVR, the show premieres at 8pm ET on September 15. It’s always good news when this show returns, because you know fall TV is right around the corner.
