I haven’t played Fallout 4 as much as I should have. But one mod is about to change that. When you step out of the Vault for the first time, one thing becomes immediately apparent. The Commonwealth is drab as hell. Look, I get it. Nuclear apocalypse and all. But damn, would a little green hurt?

Fallout 4 modder GameDuchess is here to help. The Fallout 4 seasons mod brings all four seasons to the game. You and Dogmeat can venture forth in spring, summer, fall and winter.

Here’s YouTuber Hodilton featuring the beautiful Seasons mod alongside Subtle ENB.

It looks great. One thing GameDuchess hopes to do is get the seasons to cycle depending on the date in-game. Right now, you have switch them manually. In a comment on the above video, GameDuchess talks about how he hopes they can use the scripting built into Fallout 4 (with the Christmas decorations) to trigger the seasons. That possible fix will need to wait until Bethesda releases the official Creation Kit.

Check out the Fallout 4 Seasons mod here. You can head on over to NexusMods’ Fallout 4 page to see all the top and most popular mods. It’s amazing the work people are already doing. I can’t wait to see the mods that come once the Creation Kit is released. Skyrim modders spoiled us. Now, it’s Fallout 4’s turn.

Fallout 4 Creation Kit Release Date?

There’s still no concrete release date for the Fallout 4 Creation Kit. But we can look back at Skyrim to get a general idea. Skyrim’s Creation Kit also wasn’t released at launch. Skyrim released on November 11, 2011. The official Creation Kit didn’t come out until February 6, 2012.

I imagine we are looking at a similar time frame for Fallout 4’s Creation Kit.
