Han shoots Greedo first no matter what the 1997 ‘Special Edition’ of Star Wars: A New Hope will have you believe. A new Star Wars: Battlefront Outer Rim trailer is out today, and it has me excited to return to a galaxy far, far away.
That is one damn good trailer. But, it’s DICE – what else should we expect besides an awesome trailer?
The new Disruptor Rifle says it’s meant for vehicles, but it handles a pair of stormtroopers without issue.
Four new maps are set on Sullust and Tatooine. Jabba’s Palace plays host to one of the new Tatooine maps. Check out Greedo lining up five rebels right by Jabba’s throne.
Damn. Greedo just went John Marston (Red Dead Redemption) on those Rebels. Another one of Greedo’s abilities is called High Senses. Rebels will be highlighted wherever they are on the map.
Nien Nunb also gets some screen time. I admit, I wasn’t sold on Nein Nunb for Battlefront – but he’s looking pretty good here. One of his main abilities is an Augmented Turret. It’s a “upgradable powerful turret.” He also appears to have some sort of proximity mine.
New star cards and weapons are also on the way. Tired of your thermal detonator? How does a gas grenade sound? I’m already envisioning corridors full of toxic gas in the bases on Endor.
The trailer looks great. But, it’s not Greedo or the new weapons that has me most excited. Nope, it’s the combat roll.
Yes! We needed another way to avoid incoming fire.
EA is hosting a live stream to show off all the Outer Rim content today. The Outer Rim DLC comes out on March 22 for those of you who bought the season pass. If you are planning on buying only the Outer Rim DLC, you’ll have to wait until April 5.
It’s been a couple of months since I’ve played Battlefront, but Outer Rim is going to change that. What do you think of the trailer? Also, let me know what you think of the combat roll.
