Expedition 41 Commander Max Suarev and fellow Russian cosmonaut Alexander Samokutyaev suited up this morning to venture outside the International Space Station.
What’s on tap for them during the six-hour spacewalk? They will be removing several pieces of hardware no longer needed on the Russian portion of the space station. The two cosmonauts will also take several photographs of the exterior surface of the Russian portion as part of a detailed survey.

Today’s trip outside the ISS is the second spacewalk for both men. Spacewalks have been a common occurrence this month as this one marks the third one in three weeks.
