Another day, more John Wick Chapter Two news. While John Leguizamo’s Aurelio didn’t have a ton of screen time in the first film, the actor is an absolute scene stealer in the movie.
In one of the more memorable scenes, that wasn’t filled with Wick being a one-man wrecking crew; Aurelio provided the comic relief. After hitting Viggo’s son, he gets a call from the Russian crime boss.

In a recent interview with Collider, Leguizamo let it be known that he has double the screen time in the sequel:
I mean, I get twice as much screen time as last time. Exactly twice as much. This time I’m in six scenes.
During the interview, Leguizamo offers insight in what the transition was like from David Leitch and Chad Stahelski directing to only Chad behind the camera.
Well, you know, I missed David of course. The two of them work so well together. But Chad is a beast, man. He’s a fucking beast. He was so on it, he was so cool, he was so collaborative. I think in some ways it was more freedom. And I think artists do best with more freedom. So I think it might be rawer.
Rawer than the first? That’s a high bar for John Wick 2. Sequels can quickly fall into the dreaded sequelitis, but Leguizamo promises that he will be helping John Wick do what Wick does. And this time, the tables are turned on who gets punched.
I’m giving him some new stuff. I’m giving him what he asks for. I’m not allowed to really say, but I’ll tell you this, instead of punching this time, I get punched.
That all but confirms there will be amazing cars in the movie. The first film was filled with classics. What will the second film contain? We know it’s jumping the pond for some international action, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the film introduce more high-end supercars. Hopefully, we do get a chance to see a few classics rolling down the street during a few gun battles.
As for Keanu? John Leguizamo offered nothing but praise, calling the first John Wick his best performance in 15 years. Like the first, Keanu is behind his stunts; something Leguizamo has quit doing as he aged. Plus, he didn’t feel like having his bell rung, because each stunt guarantees you’ll feel it in the morning.
Small tidbits of news continue to trickle in about John Wick Chapter Two. Could we see a teaser trailer soon? The hype is real behind the film after the success of the first.
February 2017 cannot get here fast enough.
