Fifth Avenue in New York is starting to get crowded with the tech giant set to open its flagship store near the iconic Apple Fifth Avenue store. Those Microsoft fans need to Google Maps 677 Fifth Avenue as their spot to camp out for Microsoft products.

I know what you’re thinking, who camps out for Microsoft products? It’s not like the Surface or Windows Mobile is flying off the shelves. But, that’s not the ace that Microsoft holds up its sleeve when it comes to potential crowds.

While the company just signed the lease, it isn’t out of the realm to have this store up and running sometime next year. Right in the launch window of Halo 5. You can pretty much place money there will be Halo themed events at the 104 stores across the country.

What better way to showcase products than to have gamers with a ton of disposable income camped in front of your flagship in the days leading up to what should be a premier entertainment launch in 2015. The stores already heavily feature the Xbox One, so it isn’t out of the realm of possibility to make the stores relevant via a game.

Microsoft Retail VP David Porter called it an important milestone for the company. “This is a goal we’ve had since day one – we were only waiting for the right location.” Porter said.

Now all Microsoft have to do is kidnap the architects and interior design people from Apple and make the place something for tourists to gawk at. As for Windows Mobile? Well, you can’t have everything.
